The project consisted of the new construction and renovation of an existing 26,000 square foot historic neo-classical main library and a 28,000 square foot expansion for the City of Greenville.  The design program was to create a 21st century library that coordinated visually and functionally with the historic building, but that also defined a new space. The new construction and renovation took place while the main library was in use and occupied.
