Summary

A new state of the art facility designed to preserve and interpret the history of all U.S. Airborne forces.  The facility includes exhibit spaces, a large screen theater, gift shop, storage, conservation areas, and conference spaces.  The exposed steel structure of the main lobby reflects the form of the “jump towers” used by paratroopers during training.Winner of three awards; AIA Merit Design Award, Piedmont and Winston-Salem Chapter, Construction Professionals Network of NC Star Award, 1994, Carolinas AGC Pinnacle Award, 1994
